Final thoughts on Star Log Project
The Star project was extremely fascinating because i was learning so many interesting new facts about polar bodies and what composed them. Without this project i would have never had known the amount of stars there are. Choosing my 15 stars took a while because i wanted to have a different mix of colors and a variety of different categories.The most interesting fact I learned was that the different chemicals of a star determine its color.

Half Life's
A half life is the amount of time it takes for a sample to devolve. The amount of time it takes to devolve varies depending on the element. Alpha, beta, and gamma particles explain how an element devolves. We continued to work on examples with our partners to ensure we fully understand how and what a half life is.

Dalton's Atomic Theory
John Dalton a chemist that created a theory containing the basics of atoms that include ideas such as;
1) All matter is made of atoms. Atoms are indivisible and indestructible.
2) All atoms of a given element are identical in mass and properties
3) Compounds are formed by a combination of two or more different kinds of atoms.
4) A chemical reaction is a rearrangement of atoms.
Others have expanded on his theory which is what makes up the practices of chemistry in the modern era.

Final thoughts on Nomenclature Unit
Learning and understanding the basics about elements and poly atomic ions will help when we dive further into chemistry. To start the year off with lessons about nomenclature will help me comprehend future chapters. I'm relieved that I've finally learned how to study for tests and quizzes.

Introduction Page
Hey ya'll, I'm Payton and I'm also a Pre-AP Chemistry student. Recently we've been assigned a project that requires us to explore plants in the area and tell whether they have medicinal qualities. this blog will have multiple plants and there chemical makeup that aid in fixing wounds, infections, and other common injuries.
A little bit about me: I enjoy engineering, southern brands and I love to run. I have future goals that include going to the university of Arkansas and becoming an engineer at Disney.
I hope all the information found in this blog is helpful
XOXO
